The film shows what it is like to experience a year at the bottom of the planet, through the eyes of the everyday workers who are there to keep the stations running on the harshest continent. Most film crews that visit Antarctica are only there for a few short months over the summer season. Footage for this film has been meticulously gathered for the last 10 years, including 9 winter-overs, isolated from the rest of the world for 6 months at a time.
Derick Mackenzie journeys from the Western Isles of Scotland to the eastern edge of Turkey on the trail of his lost brother Donald, a self-styled evangelist adventurer who disappeared in mysterious circumstances while searching for the remains of Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat. His last contact with his family was a text message sent from 12,000 feet up the mountainside. He was alone and a snowstorm was closing in. Since then they have heard nothing and had little assistance from the Turkish authorities. Did he succumb to the brutal winter weather or was he the victim of something more sinister? The only way to discover the truth, Derick believes, is to travel to Turkey to find out for himself. My Brother the Ark Raider is a film about two brothers, two religions and one mountain that may hold the key to bring some closure to a family hit by tragedy. A Plainview Films Production in association with BBC Alba and Creative Scotland. Directed & Produced by Jonathan Carr and Chris Marks. The film received its television premiere on BBC Alba in October 2013 and will receive its cinema premiere at the Lucerne International Film Festival in November 2014.

In post-crisis and post-Fukushima era, our question reflects a strong need for change and for meaning, especially among the younger generations. This search for a new path has encouraged the development of Social Business. Here we attempt to define Social Business, analyze its origins and catalysts, grasp its challenges, like impact measuring, financing, balancing social and business aspects. To illustrate, we chose a handicraft business at a pivotal development period, located near Cambodia Angkor Wat, founded by a French ex-trader, following a genuine personal revolution. On the analytical side, we interviewed professionals in Paris, London, Geneva and Cambodia, from NGOs, businesses, finance and education. This movie raises more questions than it gives answers. Our goal is for it to be inspiring, thought-provoking and overall to raise consciousness.
This documentary is conceived as a musical adventure film for a large audience. The 15 years spent by Richard Wagner in exile in Switzerland were crucial for his musical inspiration, his theoretical works and his personal life. Antoine Wagner, the great great grandson of the composer, a 30 years old photographer living in New York, takes off to trace the footsteps of his ancestor in Zurich and Lucerne, interviewing historians and musicologists. Throughout the most spectacular landscapes of the country, he goes on the same expeditions to lakes, glaciers and high mountain slopes to give us the sensation of just how dangerous these expeditions were in Wagner's time, as well as how inspiring they were for the work of this genius of musical theatre.
